Grzegorz Rzepecki
Director
He has worked for the Centre of Culture in Lublin since 1991. Until 1995 he was a member of the NN Theatre team and he remains proud of it until today. He co-founded the International Meetings of Dance Theatres and worked as the director of organisational development of the festival in the years 1996-2002. Between 1996 and 1999 he was the publisher and the associate editor of the monthly cultural magazine “Na przykład”. Between 2004 to 2008 he co-created and published the “Lubelski Informator Kulturalny ZOOM” (Lublin’s Cultural Guide ZOOM) . He was one of the initatiors and first coordinators of the Night of Culture festival. He also created the Jagiellonian Fair and acted as its first director between 2007 and 2009. Mr Rzepecki has initiated and coordinated numerous other projects, such as: Planeta Lublin, New Year’s Eve on the Litewski Square. He came up with ideas for the activity of the concert shell in the Saski Park. In 2008, he received the Award for the Promotion of Culture granted by the Mayor of Lublin. He was a member of the Culture 2020 team that prepared Lublin’s final application for the ECC 2016 competition (Eastern Partnership team). In private, he is a husband and a father and he takes great pride in it. He likes people, animals and plants.
